Dear Friends,

As you know, we adopted two very special little girls in December of 2008 from Ukraine. We were there for almost a month and spent a great deal of time visiting orphanages. The conditions were horrible. These kids go without most of the bare necessities and receive no love. They are kicked out of the orphanage at age 16 to fend for themselves and most turn to crime, prostitution, or suicide. It was wonderful to be able to rescue two children from those conditions, but we are still very haunted by the children we left behind. They were all pleading to be adopted too.

No one family can save the world. UNICEF estimates there are over 143 MILLION orphan children in the world today. However, a few of us "adoptive dads" are trying to make a difference. Each of us adopted kids from eastern Europe and we are all haunted by what we saw. That is why we created a new charity called Orphan Angel International Foundation (OAIF). The objective of Orphan Angel International Foundation is to provide relief to older orphans around the globe. This is accomplished through a variety of programs, including “Orphan Camps” in the greater Dallas/ Ft. Worth area. Orphan Camps give these children an opportunity to live with an American family and experience a new culture. This experience often leads to adoption either by the host family or through other families who meet the child during their stay. We also plan to do relief work for the kids that will never be adopted by providing assistance and educational opportunities.

OAIF is pleased to present the Night of Dreams Gala on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Westin Stonebriar Resort in Frisco, Texas. This seated black-tie dinner will feature live and silent auctions, entertainment, dancing, and more. Funds raised will be used to bring relief to orphan children and support our Orphan Camps.
